After the Qatar Grand Prix, won by Lewis Hamilton, became the car of Max Verstappen selected by the FIA Inspectorate to be inspected after the race. This, as always, happened randomly. Verstappen’s car was approved.
This is stated in a document published on the site of the SON. Every weekend a car is randomly selected by the FIA for scrutiny. It has happened to both Verstappen and Hamilton once this season. In Qatar, it was Verstappen’s turn to have his car tested.

Everything according to the rules
As stated in the document on the site, everything was in order. The test went according to plan and the FIA found nothing out of the ordinary. “This involved an inspection of all rear suspension components, as well as all mounted sensors, their cable routing and connections to the SECU and other units. All inspected components were found to comply with the 2021 Formula One Technical Regulations.”
Verstappen battle with Hamilton for world championship
It’s just a little distraction for the world championship leader, who is eight points ahead of Hamilton with two races to go. If Hamilton wins the race in Saudi Arabia next weekend, Verstappen is second and Hamilton writes the fastest lap, both drivers will head for Abu Dhabi with the same number of points. It would be an unprecedented closing race of a spectacular season.
