After 21 years, Giorgos Avtias returned to the side of Giorgos Papadakis, from where he had left in order to present his own show. The presenter of “Morning Greece” warmly welcomed him in the studio, after the announcement of his candidacy in the European elections with the ND party.

“I don’t care about your party preference. A friend, a person we were with during the first years of private television was by my side, he was close to me. And it helped a lot to establish the morning zone” said Giorgos Papadakis.

“I thank him because he opened a big door, I entered, he gave me all the supplies. He gave me the opportunity to address the world, I thank him and am grateful to him” said Giorgos Avtias, moved.

“I aspire to go to the European Parliament wearing the jersey of the national Greece” said the MEP candidate. Asked how he made the decision to get involved in politics, he remarked that, “what is not renewed in life, dies”.

“The objectivity of the journalist is judged by the effectiveness of the criticism he exercises” he answered the question if his engagement with politics raises questions about their objectivity as journalists.

He also mentioned that the ND governments with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis have achieved important things for our country and have brought a lot of money from Europe. He concluded by repeating that he is going to the elections as a national Greek and with the slogan, “Patris, Religion, Family”.
