Guaranteed security
The Government of Tolima has deployed an extensive security operation to guarantee the tranquility of visitors who will attend the International Coffee Fair this weekend in the municipality of Planadas.
This was reported by the Secretary of Citizen Coexistence, Security and Public Order, Guillermo Alvira, who highlighted the commitment of the departmental administration and the Public Force to offer a safe environment to all participants.
The security device includes more than 1,400 members of the Police, Army and Air Force, distributed in both the urban and rural areas of Planadas.
According to Alvira, for more than five months, the authorities have worked together to ensure every logistical and protection detail at the event, which will attract visitors from all over the country and international buyers from places such as the United States, England and China.
“The articulation between the institutions is complete and is underway. “The Police, the Army and the Air Force have reinforced control in the territory and on the roads, and the Prosecutor’s Office also accompanies this process to provide security to all those who visit us,” the secretary stated.
Likewise, Alvira reported that checkpoints have been set up in strategic areas such as Ibagué and Neiva, in addition to continuous patrols in rural areas to preserve order and guarantee a unique experience for visitors to the event who wish to enjoy Tolima coffee.
