TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, Chis. (apro).– Agents of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) searched a safe house belonging to a criminal group that operates in the region and seized an arsenal of 29 long weapons, grenades and ammunition.
Accompanied by elements of the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) and the National Guard (GN), agents from the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office (Fecor) in Chiapas searched a property located in the Juaritos town, in the municipality of Juárez, in the north of the entity, adjacent to the state of Tabasco.
Following an anonymous complaint and the authorization of a federal judge, federal forces located inside a house 27 long weapons of different types and calibers, two 9 mm pistol-type firearms, 1,444 cartridges of different calibers, 18 vests ballistic devices and six 40 mm caliber grenades.
In addition to 13 bags of synthetic material that contained bags of green and dry vegetables with the characteristics of marijuana, with an approximate weight of 1,600 grams, two bags with a solid white substance, with an approximate gross weight of 260 grams and a motorcycle.
In the house, a person who took care of that safe house was arrested, named Germán “E”, who together with the confiscated objects were made available to the Federal Public Ministry, which initiated an investigation file for the crime of carrying weapons of Fire for the Exclusive Use of the Armed Forces, homicide, injuries and damages.
Juárez has been the scene in recent days of drug executions and confrontations between armed civilian groups that dispute control of that territory adjacent to Tabasco.
