Aventura police reported that three people were transported to the hospital after a shooting at Aventura Mall.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 3:39 pm in front of the Hugo Boss store, where an argument broke out between two sides. One person from one of the groups drew a weapon, and another from the opposite side also drew a pistol and used it.
Several people were arrested for the incident. Police reported that the main shooter has not yet been caught.
The city of Aventura reported that all customers and employees would be escorted off the property, and access to the establishment will not be allowed until further notice.
Videos posted to Twitter show crowds of customers leaving the mall, with some reporting hearing gunshots.
