New York authorities are investigating the murder of a 30-year-old man who was fatally shot in the face inside a Bronx building.
Our reporter Rolman Vergara, from Univision 41, went to 381 East 160th Street, in the Melrose section, where he confirmed that the victim was identified as David Disla.
According to reports, the man comes from a Dominican family and had recently moved into the building.
The homicide occurred on Saturday night.
The victim went down the stairs with the bullet in his face and collapsed on the first floor
Police sources said that David Disla was in his fourth-floor apartment, apartment 16, when he was shot in the face.
But the victim did not die there, and although not all the details are known until now, he would have gone down the stairs, reached the first floor and collapsed.
He left blood trails on the stairs, handrails and floor. The authorities found him dying and took them to a hospital, where they finally declared him dead.
The residents of the building, fearful for their families due to what happened, affirm that “the area is bad.”
The criminalistics unit continues to investigate David Disla’s apartment to find a suspect in the murder.
