The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) received authorities from the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Chilewithin the framework of a mission carried out to Argentina in order to learn about strategies to confront illegal sales.
The meeting began with the welcoming words of the president of the CAC, Natalio Mario Grinman. Next, the delegation headed by the head of the Chilean entity, Jose Pakomioreferred to the situation in Chile, two weeks after the last municipal and regional votes.
For its part, the CAC responded to the guests’ questions, which focused on illegal sales, tourism and security. Finally, there was talk about an upcoming meeting of national chambers focused on the fight against illicit trade that will be in La Paz, Bolivia. It is worth remembering that in January the CAC was the Argentine institution called to present on the situation of illegal sales and smuggling in our country.
Also participating on behalf of the CAC were Gonzalo de Leon (institutional director), Pablo Aliperti (head of the Department of Domestic Trade), Andres Traverso (head of the Department of Foreign Trade),Tamara Quiroga (advisor) and Julius Rodriguez Rabellini (coordinator of the Department of Economy). On the part of Chile, meanwhile, they attended Kenneth Werner (vice president); María Ignacia Rodríguez (general secretary) and Sergio Morales (Coordinator of Security and Illicit Trade).
It is worth mentioning that, after the meeting with the CAC, the Chilean entity held meetings with local government authorities.
