For the weekend of the Day of Remembrance the authorities of Utah have activated the campaign “Safe Summer” in the wagons and roads of the state.
The 100 deadliest days on Utah’s roads are approaching due to the holidays that kick off summer, so authorities will be on the road focusing on what drivers must do to be safe.
John Gleason, public information officer for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) said that this year they will focus on a positive campaign, where they invite people to be safe and as a family.
The Utah Highway Patrol expects a driver increase of more than 60%, leading to a greater presence of officers on the state’s highways.
If you plan to travel this holiday weekend, be very cautious as traffic flow will be at its highest peak since the pandemic began, the most congested highway could be I-15 southbound.
