Broadcasting unfounded opinions is of little use to us. A pity, because there is plenty of good discussion possible about game clients such as Syeam, Epic, etc.
Steam also has issues from time to time, both in their uptime and in their feature set.
Personally, I think Steam is a cumbersome app with poor UI / UX (store, library) and sometimes poor features (game streaming), but that does not alter the fact that it works well (games, downloads, achievements). There are certainly points for improvement for Epic’s client and the app is certainly a bit minimalist compared to Steam, but otherwise works well.
Epic is open about their roadmap so be sure to check that out if you are considering using the platform. Can’t miss certain features? And also think of things like:
– How much of your money do you want to see go to developers?
– what do you think about exclusivity?
Both platforms have their unique titles, features and perhaps even charms.
