“Austrasbärni” invites you to join and invites you to a talk show in “Namin”

“Austrasbērni” invites you to join its informal music gathering to sing together, get to know a wide range of Imantas Kalniņš singers and songs, meet new like-minded people and go to music events together, says Inese Muižniece, project manager of “Austras biedrības”.

To get a better knowledge of the content and the type of lessons, Austrasbärni invites you to experience the concert this Thursday, November 7, at 18.00 at the folklore center “Namīns” (Liepāja, Bāriņu street 32). There will be songs, discussions and answers to interesting questions.

“Austrasbērni” are students, companions and followers of Austras Pumpures, the legendary singer and Honorary Liepājniece, who play guitar and sing songs by Imanta Kalniņš, Latvian folk songs, as well as songs by themselves and other singers. Classes are held weekly on Thursdays from pl. 18.00 to 20.00 and is basically an education for adult interests. “Austrasbernu” classes are led by Simona Rača-Rūce and Inese Muižniece. Guitar skills are desirable, but there are no specific requirements for the level of expertise – they can be learned over time.
