Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Australia NCAP announced last week that the 2022 Isuzu Mu-X SUV received a perfect five-star rating in crash tests. Previously this car also received a similar rating from ASEAN NCAP.
The Mu-X said Australia NCAP scored 87 percent for adult passenger protection or AOP. This SUV is also said to have received full marks during the side impact test.
Overall, the results scored by Mu-X were 33.25 out of 38 points in AOP.

In another test, the Mu-X also got a child passenger protection score or COP with a safety rating of 85 percent or a score of 41.99 out of 49 points.
However, this car is considered vulnerable to pedestrians because it is classified as a high-riding SUV and is only able to score 37.63 points out of a total of 54 points. However, the Mu-X has an automatic emergency braking (AEB) feature which is a plus.
Next, the Mu-X received 13.49 out of a total of 16 points in safety assist (SA) with a safety rating of 84 percent thanks to the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Mu-X also has various safety features that help increase the rating, namely Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Turn Assist Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Intelligent Speed Limiter (ISL), Manual Speed Limiter (MSL) , and the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
Selain itu ada Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), hingga Multi-Collision Brake Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA).

This achievement is actually not much different from the results of the 2020 version of the test by ASEAN NCAP which also received five stars. At that time the variant being tested was the L version with a 1,900 cc engine.
In the crash test, the Mu-X scored 30.36 points out of 36 points for adult protection, 44.37 out of 49 points, while safety features were awarded 15.85 out of 18 points.
