China now says Cheng Lei has been arrested on suspicion of criminal activities that endanger national security. The questioning of the two other journalists has also been conducted in accordance with the law, says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “If foreign journalists abide by Chinese laws, they have nothing to fear,” the ministry said.
