Ferrari Driver, Charles Leclercmanaged to become a champion at the 2022 Australian F1 Grand Prix. This is the first time he has successfully climbed the podium in the first three races of the series.
Appearing at the Albert Park Circuit, Sunday (10/4/2022) afternoon WIB, Leclerc, who started from the first position, really did not shift one bit during the 58 laps of the race. He became the winner after finishing 20 seconds faster than Red Bull’s Sergio Perez.
Victory in the 2022 Australian GP F1 makes Charles Leclerc firmly at the top of the 2022 F1 standings with 71 points. The man from Monaco is 46 points clear of Max Verstappen, who is stranded in sixth place in the standings due to failing to finish.
George Russell scored his first podium for Mercedes in third place. This sweet result was obtained by Russell benefiting from the Safety Car which allowed him to overtake Lewis Hamilton.
Russell has moved up to second in the 2022 F1 standings. The man from Great Britain has 37 points and Carlos Sainz is in third with 33 points.
Lewis Hamilton failed to climb the podium in Australia by only finishing the race in fourth place. After having success in Bahrain, he failed to reach the podium for the second time and is now in fifth position in the standings with 28 points.
