Although traditionally the Grand Prix of Australia opens the activities in Formula 1, this year this event was moved to November for the COVID-19 pandemic.
The same happened with the GP from China, which was scheduled for April 11, but will undergo changes in the schedule, yet to be announced.
“The global pandemic has not yet allowed life to return to normal, but we demonstrated in 2020 that we can run safely by being the first international sport to return,” said Stefano Domenicali, President of Formula 1.
For this reason, the First Grand Prix of the 2021 season will be Bahrain from March 26 to 28, at the Sakhir Street Circuit.
Another rescheduled event is that of Imola, which returns to the date between April 16 and 18, while the GP of Mexico City remains on the date of October 29 to 31.
