Private equity investment group Aurelius Group is in talks to buy the beauty products chain “The Body Shop,” which was put up for sale by its Brazilian owner, Natura & Co, according to what a source familiar with the talks revealed to Reuters.
The source, who requested anonymity, said: “If the deal is completed, it is expected that the value of The Body Shop will be set at a lower price of £400 million to £500 million ($485.20 million – $606.50 million) suggested in some media reports.” ».
Brazilian cosmetics company Natura said in August that its board of directors had authorized the company to explore strategic alternatives for its subsidiary The Body Shop, including the potential sale of the company.
In June 2017, the Brazilian “Natura Cosmetics” bought “The Body Shop” from the cosmetics company L’Oreal for one billion euros. (agencies)
