On the 26th, Myanmar journalist Myanmar Now quoted an anonymous source from the National League for Democracy and Peoples League (NLD) led by the adviser, and said that the adviser had moved from his home in the capital city of Naepido six days ago.
Sources say the military raided the house of torture shame on the morning of the coup on the 1st and detained him and key figures. Since then, he has been detained at his home in Naepido.
However, the source said, “We do not know where the shame torture is currently detained.”
Other high-ranking NLD officials also confirmed that the place of detention for the shame adviser has been changed from his existing Naepido home, Myanmar Now said.
In addition, a source said that the military government also recently searched a horticultural training academy in Naepido and confiscated some items. The academy is part of a charity founded by Suu Kyi’s advisor, the media explained.
He made plans to set up a museum here and moved his personal collection, including awards received over the past 30 years. He is a Nobel Peace Prize winner and has received international awards as a symbol of the struggle for democracy in Myanmar.
