Dresden. Even more traffic jams in Dresden on Tuesday morning: In addition to the closed Carola Bridge, the Augustus Bridge also had to be closed to cyclists, pedestrians and public transport for hours. According to the police, a 17-year-old girl had climbed onto the bridge with suicidal intent.

The fire brigade was also on site with boats to support the police. The police were alerted at around 3:45 a.m. The operation was still ongoing shortly after 8:30 a.m. Ten minutes later the all-clear was given. “The person was brought to safety,” reported the fire brigade. An emergency doctor then treated the young person. She was then taken to a hospital.
