A return photo caused a slight drama on Twitter between Keke Palmer and August Alsina.
A fan shared an old black and white photo of the artists sitting together in a car on Friday. Twitter user drew Palmer’s attention to photo with caption “This you?”
Palmer didn’t take long to confirm that she was in the photo; In doing so, she silenced rumors of meetings that the photo had fueled.
“Yes girl. August was never my lol man, “she wrote. “This is why you keep reaching this day for not understanding anything.”
Alsina got wind of Palmer’s response and quickly applauded with her own thoughts on the matter.
“You are absolutely right. I have NEVER been your man, “he replied. “Maybe you could never make shorties.” It sounds like you are crazy, but you are “friends” for reason 4. 2 doesn’t disturb your mental instability any more. “
The Twitter exchange arrives the same day of the highly anticipated episode of Red Table Talk by Jada Pinkett Smith, in which she mentioned her affair with Alsina. Pinkett Smith said she “got tangled” with the New Orleans artist. Alsina maintains that he and Pinkett Smith not only had a relationship, but Pinkett Smith’s husband Will Smith also gave the green light.
