Augsburg – FC Augsburg took an important step towards remaining in the German Bundesliga on Wednesday. With the 2:1 in the catch-up game against FSV Mainz 05, Markus Weinzierl’s team achieved their second win in a row. Mainz, on the other hand, missed getting closer to the European Cup places. Michael Gregoritsch was absent from Augsburg after recovering from a recent corona infection. Karim Onisiwo played through at FSV, Kevin Stöger came on in the 62nd minute.
