The recruitment agency Augusta Personaldienstleistungen in Augsburg has to file for bankruptcy. How things will go on for the company.
FromJonas Voss
The temporary employment agency Augusta Personaldienstleistungen has initiated insolvency proceedings. Jörg Franzke represents the company as restructuring advisor. Above all, the company earns money by placing workers in companies from various industries. Lawyer According to the company, the labor market for semi-skilled personnel had already become saturated at the beginning of 2016, and the demand for temporary workers had also collapsed among industrial clients. The company was caught off guard by this slump. According to the commercial register, turnover also collapsed at this time – although it recovered in the following years, it no longer reached the level of 2015. According to the register, Augusta has not made any profits for several years.
How the insolvency proceedings for Augusta Personaldienstleistungen work
Since 2017, the company has adjusted structures, for example by downsizing. According to Franzke, this would have caused additional burdens due to high severance payments. “As of today, the company is economically optimized.” This year around 70 workers were placed through Augusta. Without the outbreak of the corona pandemic, Augusta would have managed the “turn around” on her own. The now uncertain situation led to the decision to carry out a reorganization procedure by means of insolvency under self-administration.
The procedure has no effects on the internal employees as well as on the externally placed workers. They want to keep the company in full. Franzke explains that the plan is to end the proceedings in the first quarter of 2021 – the company has recovered economically. Liquidity and the order situation are sufficient to be able to pay all costs permanently.
