AUGC calls for the dismissal of the Civil Guard traffic chief for failing to comply with Covid regulations: AUGC calls for the dismissal of the Civil Guard traffic chief for violating Covid regulations | BE Las Palmas

The Unified Association of the Civil Guard (AUGC) calls for the dismissal of the General Chief of Traffic of the Civil Guard, Ramón Rueda, as he is being investigated by the Central Military Court for allegedly breaching the covid protocol. The events took place in November in a meeting with high command of the Canary Islands traffic in a small room of the Las Palmas Command, without ventilation and without the minimum safety distance. One of them tested positive after a few days and forced 14 agents to quarantine.

Now the AUGC will appear as a private prosecution in the case. Pedro Carmona is his secretary of communication, he assures that the complaints about the performance of this high command of the armed institute treating “with contempt and the lack of ethics that he has towards the workers” for that reason, he says, “we ask for his dismissal.”
