The network giant’s goal is likely to limit the number of times a user switches from Facebook to Messenger, and vice versa. In fact, end-to-end encryption has been added to calls on Messenger. This security measure will probably also be added to audio and video calls from the social network.
Facebook has confirmed that this new feature is being tested in ” several countries, including the United States “. However, he did not specify the number of users who can test audio and video calls. He also did not announce the repercussions of the return of this feature on Messenger. Users are already worried to witness the decline of Messenger, even if it seems highly unlikely. Some will appreciate not having to switch several times a day between Facebook and Messenger while others dread seeing the social network and especially the timeline each time they can make a call.
