Giovanni Zarrella made his debut as a hit presenter on Saturday evening. Andrea Berg also made an appearance in his new show – and it caused astonishment on the internet.
Most of the hit shows are moderated by Florian Silbereisen, and in the past occasionally by Carmen Nebel or Helene Fischer. Since Saturday evening, however, the hit scene officially has another moderator: Giovanni Zarrella.

The Italian, who became famous several years ago with the band Bro’Sis, premiered on the weekend with his new music show on ZDF. The 43-year-old led through the evening for three hours and welcomed stars such as Nino de Angelo, Maite Kelly, Kerstin Ott and Pietro Lombardi.
“Bit early, isn’t it?”
Andrea Berg also appeared in the “Giovanni Zarrella Show” – and her performance caused astonishment among the audience. Because already at 8.43 p.m., the singer was on stage in a white dress with a high slit in the legs. After less than 30 minutes she sang her first song – “I love life” by Vicky Leandros.
On the net, the audience was confused. “Andrea Berg is coming now?” Someone asked on Twitter. “Bit early, isn’t it?” Another user wrote: “What a surprise, the mountain occurs before 10 pm. A miracle.” Also read on the net: “Andrea Berg so early in the show? That wouldn’t have happened with Flori.”
In fact, that’s pretty unusual for the musician. Because in Florian Silbereisen’s shows, Andrea Berg usually only appears at the end. So it was at the “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” in November, at the “Schlagerchampions” in February or at the “Schlager Beach Party” in August.
With Giovanni Zarrella, on the other hand, the fans of the “You lied to me a thousand times” interpreter didn’t have to wait three hours before the singer took the stage. Still, Andrea Berg did not allow herself to end the show. Because after two and a half hours she returned and performed a hit medley of songs such as “The feelings have confidentiality”, “Yes, I do” and “Mosaik”.
“What’s next?”
With Andrea Berg on stage, Giovanni Zarrella said goodbye to the audience at around 11:15 p.m. By the way, they are divided on the new show of the ex-Bro’Sis star. Some saw the show as a pure “self-presentation”, calling it a “family celebration”. Because time and again the musician had primarily addressed his parents.
Papa Bruno even sang a song with him on stage, Mama Clementina he hugged in the audience. “What’s next? Slide show from the Zarrelli family vacation 25 years ago?” Joked someone on the net. Another viewer said: “The whole thing somehow degenerates into a purely private family celebration, at which we as spectators happen to be there.”
“Finally a heart on TV again”
There was also a lot of praise for the moderator. “Finally a heart on TV again”, you can read on Twitter, for example. “I think it’s awesome,” someone else commented. Two other viewers also wrote “Hats off” or “Respect”.
Three more editions of the “Giovanni Zarrella Show” are currently planned. The next episode is on November 13th. In the same month, the Silbereisen show “The Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” will very likely be shown on TV.
