Following improvements, the Audi Q2 is a few millimeters longer and is now 4.21 meters long, while the width (1.79 meters) and height (1.54 meters) remain unchanged. The drag coefficient of 0.31 (with sports suspension) is one of the best in this segment.

Now, in the car’s rear lines, designers have also used a polygonal motif, which was previously typical of the front and side lines. The bumper has a built-in diffuser with large pentagons. Changes have also been made to the front of the car – the surfaces under the headlights have been made more efficient, while the octagonal “Singleframe” radiator grille has an interpretation of the polygonal motif. The S line and accessory lines form narrow gaps between the radiator grille and the bonnet, highlighting the iconic Audi sport quattro.

The Audi Q2 now comes standard with LED headlights, while the Matrix LED headlights are available as an option. One module contains seven separate LEDs that generate intelligently controlled high beam. It illuminates the road as brightly as possible without dazzling other road users.

The Audi Q2 cabin is designed for five passengers. The interior reflects the rich design language of the exterior. Ventilation hatches and a gear lever and an optional S tronic gearbox have also been redesigned. Q2 customers can order an S line interior instead of the standard interior. Both interior versions can be freely combined with three exterior variants.

The SUV’s luggage compartment still has a capacity of 405 liters, which can be expanded to 1,050 liters by folding down the rear seat backrests. At the same time, it is possible to choose an electronic luggage compartment opening and closing system, as well as attach a towing hook.

Functionality and the range of screens have also been expanded on several levels, from the analogue instrument panel and MMI radio plus to the Audi virtual cockpit with 12.3-inch screen and MMI navigation plus with 8.3-inch screen. It works with a rotary pushbutton in the lower center console (MMI touch) or with a voice control system. Unique to the small SUV segment is the Bang & Olufsen sound system, which consists of 14 speakers.

The Audi Q2 will enter the German market with a fairly powerful petrol engine – the 1.5 TFSI develops 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The range of TDI and TFSI engines will be expanded by the end of the year. The Q2 with 1.5 TFSI engine comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, and a seven-speed S tronic transmission is also available. Some engine versions are available with quattro all-wheel drive.

Advance sales of the Audi Q2 on the European market will begin in autumn 2020. In Germany, the price will start at around 25,000 euros. The launch of the market will be complemented by a special “Edition One” model with exclusive equipment, the car will be in apple green or gray. Some exterior details, such as mirror frames and Audi rings, will be black. The look will be accentuated by Matrix LED headlights, 19-inch wheels from Audi sport and sports suspension.
