At the Beijing Auto Show, the German car company Audi has presented the Audi Q6L e-tron, an extended variation of the global market model Q6 e-tron, which is planned for the Chinese market.
The Audi Q6L e-tron is the first model created on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform developed together with Porsche. Like other PPE platform Audi models for the Chinese market, this one will be produced at the newly built factory in the city of Changchun.
The Chinese market model differs from the standard e-tron Q6 with a 105 mm longer wheelbase, which allows the installation of a larger battery, according to the manufacturer, providing a range of more than 700 kilometers according to the Chinese CLTC cycle. This will be provided by the newly developed lithium-ion battery consisting of twelve modules and 192 prismatic cells with a total capacity of 107 kWh – 7 kWh more compared to the Q6 e-tron quattro and SQ6 e – through.
Using 800 V technology and a maximum charging power of 270 kW, charging from 10 to 80 percent will be enough in 25 minutes, as long as you stay at such a charging station for 10 minutes it can distance extended by 260 km. The drive of the rear version is known to be provided by an electric motor with a power of 255 kW, the quattro all-wheel drive version can rely on 345 kW.
The length of the e-tron Audi Q6L is 4.88 m (+ 11 cm compared to the standard e-tron Q6), the wheelbase has increased to 2.99 m. It is 4 cm higher (1.69 m), differs in aerodynamically designed 21-inch wheel rims, a slightly different front and clear logos.
The interior, infotainment systems and driver assistance systems are tailored for the Chinese market. These include the adaptive driving assistance system and the parking assistant, which, thanks to more advanced technologies, are able to provide more support than all previous Audi models .
The manufacturer states that the serial model of the Audi Q6L e-tron will be presented in the fourth quarter of 2024, but deliveries to customers will begin in 2025.
