This is the time of the week to endure Karawu drag racing. This time, there are two powerful crossovers facing off on the runway. It’s Germany versus the United States, with Audi RS Q8 Go head to head against pocket Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. This heavyweight packs a lot of punch, as both pop up on the bar with healthy numbers.
The Audi RS Q8 battles it out with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. This is good for 600 hp (441 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The scale goes up to 5,070 lb (2,300 kg), but it is the lightest of the two. The RSQ8 also has the upper hand in this match due to its low power compared to the Jeep.
With that said, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk should be straight ahead of the Audi. The Jeep comes with a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine straight from the Hellcat. It produces 707 hp (527 kW) and 645 lb-ft (875 Nm) of torque. This means it has a 107 horsepower (79 kW) and 55 pound-feet (75 Nm) advantage over the RSQ8. But the equivalent here is weight as the Jeep needs to pull 5,363 lb (2,432 kg) off the line.
The race was a quarter mile (400m) dash on the line, and both cars scored good times. We won’t spoil the video for you, but a few things need to be mentioned. For starters, the distance between the two is relatively close. In addition, the Jeep is a pedestrian in standard fashion compared to the Audi in rolling drag racing. that Karawu The guys also did a throttle test for good measure, and let’s say there’s a much clearer winner here.
