Audi has created a special TT RS “40 years quattro” as an exclusive series of 40 pieces of a small sports coupe. The manufacturer bet mainly on the design side of the car, because from a technical point of view, the annual model is practically identical to the serial TT RS. The car was also improved in the interior.

At first glance, it is clear that the annual Audi is trying to recall the forty-year history of the Quattro all-wheel drive system. The car looks like a quattro S1 model, first driven by Walter Röhrl in 1987 at Pikes Peak. Audi has equipped the car with a number of new aerodynamic elements tested in a wind tunnel. The cars are supposed to improve handling and performance in fast corners.

The special bodykit includes side sills in glossy black, a glossy black large diffuser, a giant glossy black wing with the Audi logo and a glossy carbon central ventilation hole on the hood to improve engine ventilation. The sporty look is complemented by white lacquer with graphic elements and interesting 20-inch wheels in white Alpine.

The interior of the car has also been improved, which, as is customary with similar models, refers in many places to the fortieth anniversary of the legendary quattro system. In the interior, Audi mainly used Alcantara leather, which is a stitched door, steering wheel and the central part of the sports seats. They also have the inscription “40 years” on them. The speciality of the car is also referred to by the gear lever, where the serial number of the car is shown.

However, the main feature of the Audi TT RS from the very beginning is mainly the engine. The special edition received the same, five-cylinder engine with a capacity of 2.5 liters, which has a standard TT RS.

The character unit sends 400 horsepower to the all four wheels via the Quttro system and the seven-speed S tronic transmission. From 0 to 100 km / h, the car travels in 3.7 seconds, the maximum speed is 280 km / h.

For exclusivity, which, however, did not affect the technology, Audi demands 114,040 euros, ie a little more than 3 million crowns. This is the price at which, for example, the new RS 6 sedan is sold today. The price of the standard TT RS starts at the lower limit of CZK 1,941,900 on the Czech market, ie by more than a million less.
