Jakarta (ANTARA) – German automotive manufacturer, Audi, has officially opened a Vehicle Safety Center located in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany, with a budget of 100 million euros or IDR 1.6 trillion.
Audi Media Center on Wednesday informed that this new investment further emphasizes Audi’s commitment to the safety of every vehicle they launch for premium consumers.
The new facility offers advanced features designed to push the boundaries of vehicle safety research.

Its innovative attributes include a 250 m long run-up track, a mobile crash block weighing 100,000 kg, and the rare ability to crash two cars quickly at right angles.
This newest facility is not only to meet security and safety standards, this new facility is also to show itself as the front guard, anticipating and preparing for the future.
Even though it has just opened, this facility is already busy with visitors. It is estimated that approximately 100 dedicated professionals will perform the gamut of today’s most relevant testing scenarios.
But there’s more to it than just testing today’s vehicles. The center’s design ensures it can be reshaped and retooled, accommodating the ever-evolving world of automotive safety.
Audi’s safety-focused research center was built over three years. This facility has an area of 130 m by 110 m and an impressive height of 20 m. The layout of this facility promises testing at speeds that many people may not even consider necessary. .
This new facility also has an integrated crash arena with an area of 50 m by 50 m, without any pillars or obstructions.
