In future, Audi employees will also be able to get vaccinations from the company doctor. However, there is a small catch.
From June 7th, the prioritization of vaccinations against the coronavirus in Germany will no longer apply, so anyone who wants to can be vaccinated from next week onwards. However, this does not necessarily mean an appointment with the family doctor or the vaccination center; more and more companies are also offering vaccinations with the company doctor – such as Audi.
The employees of the premium manufacturer from Bavaria can be vaccinated from June 8th at the sites in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt. Initially, however, this only applies to “employees with particular health risks”, as Audi announced, and further appointments are to follow in the coming weeks.
Audi Neckarsulm / Ingolstadt: 2,500 vaccination doses from Biontech / Pfizer
To start the vaccination campaign, Audi Health Protection receives a delivery of 2,500 vaccine doses from BioNTech / Pfizer. In a letter to employees – excerpts from echo24.de – the premium manufacturer points out that the “type and amount of vaccines that the health centers receive on a weekly basis will vary”.
The employees would therefore be informed “weekly about the current situation and the activation of further target groups in the online scheduling tool” in Audi mynet. When it comes to prioritizing employees, however, there are differences between the two locations in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt.
Audi Neckarsulm / Ingolstadt: Prioritization of employees – waiting list for everyone
“In Neckarsulm, Audi offers vaccination appointments as a priority for all employees with particular health risks. In Ingolstadt, Audi gives priority to all employees with particular health risks as well as employees who have to permanently wear mouth and nose protection during their work, ”the letter to the employees says.
The relevant employees have already been recorded by Audi and are activated for booking appointments in the online scheduling tool. According to Audi, those authorized to vaccinate at the Neckarsulm site will be informed by letter. The reason for the different procedures at the two locations is a pilot campaign with AstraZeneca in Ingolstadt, which ends with the start of regular vaccinations. “The company doctors will of course still carry out the vaccination appointments for the pilot campaign that have already been agreed,” said Audi in the letter.
Similar to the district vaccination center in Heilbronn, Audi also offers an email waiting list for vaccination doses that may not have been vaccinated on that day. Employees at both locations can register on this – regardless of the respective internal vaccination prioritization.
