The incidences are falling across Germany, and Audi has also reacted to this. New corona rules now apply in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt.

The 7-day incidence in Baden-Wuerttemberg continues to decrease and thus more and more measures in the fight against the coronavirus can be relaxed. Audi is also reacting to the low number of infections and is starting to relax the corona rules for its locations in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt.

The Audi Forum in Neckarsulm was therefore reopened to the public on Thursday, June 24, but far-reaching easing is now also taking effect in the plant. As indicated in a notice to employees who echo24.de is available in excerpts, for example, the obligation to wear mouth and nose masks on outdoor areas is relaxed.

In future, there will also no longer be a general mask requirement on the outdoor areas at Audi in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt. Only if the minimum distance of 1.5 meters can no longer be maintained does the mask remain compulsory. The previous rules apply to the interior.

Audi is also increasing the number of people who are allowed to sit in a vehicle during business trips to two. However, the incidence must be below 35 and a mask must be worn. Until now, “employees who use a department vehicle, a company car or an industrial truck for business trips inside or outside the factory premises” in Neckarsulm or Ingolstadt were only allowed to drive alone, as the message states. The easing has been in effect since Thursday, June 24th, 6 a.m.

Audi Neckarsulm / Ingolstadt: Will there be further easing for employees?

Audi is also holding out the prospect of further loosening and possible adjustments for the plants in Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt, but these can only “only be made after the new version of the statutory regulations”. In this case, the Bavarian premium brand wants to inform its employees immediately.

“Until then, protective measures for companies, such as the current regulations on mobile work, will continue to apply unchanged as far as possible,” says Audi. The situation is similar when it comes to short-time work: After it had already looked as if the situation would improve, Audi now had to extend the short-time work for its plant in Neckarsulm again.
