Audi F1 “Promoting Recruitment Activities on the Scale of Red Bull Powertrains”[F1-Gate.com]

Audi still has three years to prepare for F1. The recruitment of seasoned F1 talent is in full swing and Audi hopes to match Red Bull Powertrains soon.

From 2026 it will become one of Audi’s F1 engine suppliers. Audi also plans to buy a stake in the Sauber F1 Team, which will also change the team name in the long run. The F1 engine project is progressing well, but there is still a lot of work to do to improve competitiveness.

Regarding the progress of the Audi F1 project, Stephan Dreyer, technical director of Audi Sport, said: “The implementation phase started months before the communication. It was at the end of August, before the Belgian Grand Prix of Formula 1. Since then, around 100 employees have joined the team.”

And that number is expected to increase in the coming years, explains Stephen Dreyer.

“More than 300 employees are expected and it is on schedule. I know the team, I know what they can do.

But Stephan Dreyer says attracting people to Audi’s F1 project is a little more difficult. This has to do with Audi being located in Neuburg an der Donau, while the majority of the current F1 factory is located in the UK.

“First we have to find and hire 300-400 employees in Neuburg an der Donau.”

“This is a huge undertaking, to say the least. Red Bull Powertrains already employ around 350 people, but Milton Keynes is only a few tens of kilometers from Brixworth,” said Stefan.Dreyer mentioned the engine division at Mercedes.Les

Red Bull Technologies has made a major theft for the new staff of Mercedes.
