Audi A3 is a best seller in the C segment and, close to the arrival of the restyling, the house of the four rings has also decided to launch a “current” version of the compact, the allstreet which is characterized by an imposing presence from the ground thanks to the its height which takes up the DNA of the allroad versions of Audi history.
Aesthetics: how the height from the ground changes
Allstreet represents a formula similar to the SUV and boasts a 30 mm raised ride compared to the Sportback and Sedan. Also distinguishing it is the matt black octagonal single frame, accompanied by the honeycomb grille with a more marked vertical development compared to the Audi A3 Sportback.
The dimensions are generous: 4,353 mm long, 1,816 mm wide and with a wheelbase of 2,629 mm. Ground clearance is 1,470 mm.
The versatility of the Audi A3 allstreet, which similarly to the Audi A3 Sportback can count on a load capacity of 380/1,200 litres.
The presence on the road is emphasized by the 17-inch wheels (standard) which can be 18 and 19 inches upon request. To further reinforce the sporty personality of the model, aesthetic elements in carbon such as the rear spoiler and the side mirror caps are available, also offered for the Audi A3 Sportback and Audi A3 Sedan.
Technological cockpit
Standard equipment includes the 10.1″ MMI touch display with Android Auto and Apple Car Play protocols, the 12.3″ Audi virtual cockpit digital dashboard in the plus configuration. There are four USB-C ports (two front and two rear) in addition to the compartment for inductive charging of the smartphone.
On board, the new gear selector derived from the Audi Q4 e-tron, the redesigned ventilation vents and the two new decorative inserts in fabric made from 100% recycled polyester and Dinamica microfibre stand out.
Motorizations
The engine range for the launch includes two 4-cylinder engines supercharged by turbocharger and combined with the 7-speed S tronic dual clutch automatic transmission: 2.0 (35) Tdi with 150 hp and 360 Nm of torque and 1.5 (35) Tfsi with 150 hp and 250 Nm, the latter with 48 Volt mild-hybrid technology.
Driving technologies
Among the optional equipment, the progressive steering, with variable gear ratio and assistance, stands out, with a sportier calibration than the previous Audi A3 range.
Furthermore, the Audi A3 allstreet and the renewed Audi A3 range borrow assistance technologies from higher-class Audi models, primarily the central front airbag derived from the Audi A8 flagship. A feature included from the first trim level as well as Audi connect emergency call and assistance, lane keeping assistance with emergency assist and automatic emergency braking based on the interaction between radar and cameras.
Price and when it will arrive on the market
The Audi A3 allstreet is expected in dealerships starting from May and is available in Business, Business Advanced and Identity Contrast configurations with prices starting from 39,500 euros.
