MIB 3: more computing power
—
The MIB 3 platform represents the state of the art achieved by Audi in terms of digitization. Compared to the previous MIB 2+ it has higher computing power, greater command execution speed and better Ram management. The navigation system has refined functions, the maps are updated for free every month instead of every three and can be activated via the hot words “Hey Audi” and “Alexa”, since the car is connected with the Amazon systems. The adoption of the MIB 3 platform also includes a new dashboard for the home screen of the Mmi touch display, with an improved layout of the controls to facilitate the most commonly used operations. Thanks to the sim card installed in the car that permanently connects it to the network, the car’s operating system can also act predictively in the context of navigation, thus making the journey easier and smoother. Finally, in the 2021 update of the car there will be the new USB-c sockets that will replace the old USB-a.

The innovations in the passenger compartment are accompanied by the improved engines for the Audi A1 Citycarver, the most eclectic version of the car since it is suitable for both the city and the light off-road, with a gritty character and very attentive to technological contents. From 2021 the Euro 6d-Isc-Fcm (Wltp 3.0) homologation will arrive for the 1.0 (30) Tfsi 110 hp and 1.5 (35) Tfsi 150 hp engines, with the first combined with both the 6-speed manual transmission and the S 7-speed double-clutch Tronic. Thanks to the new homologation, also extended to the 1.0 (95) Tfsi 95 HP version and to all Sportbacks, the consumption and emissions of the A1 range will be 10% lower overall than those of the previous version.
