September is coming and with it the first rains of auctions. Over 10,000 auctions are planned by the end of the year.

The electronic hammer continues to hit for “heavy” names and families who were successful in the previous decades in Greece but then found themselves in a financial impasse and got involved in adventures…

The villa museum

On November 20, the hammer will go down for the residence-museum of Prodromos Emfietzoglou, the strong man of the construction group Mechanici who “fell” like a deck of cards leaving millions in debt in the previous decade. The residence-museum is located in Anavryta Amarousiou.

The luxurious mansion which consists of nine building complexes is located on an area of ​​60 acres on a hill in Marousi, next to Anavryta.

It includes cultural buildings with exhibition spaces, exhibitions of art and visual works, offices, a detached house – villa and auxiliary buildings. In a previous auction, the first bid price was 6.79 million euros, but a recent appraisal report (April 2024), increased the price to 10.7 million euros.

On September 25, lands and facilities of the former headquarters of Dimitris Kontominas in Pallini will be auctioned.

In particular, 13 auctions have been planned with Intrum and Eurobank acting as accelerators.

The auctions expedited by Intrum have a total starting price of €7,297,442.48. The auctions expedited by Eurobank concern plots of land located at the “Vakalopoulos” location within the BIOPA of Pallini. The first offer prices for these properties start at €54,558 and go up to €188,620.50, with a total starting price of €1,029,705.

Ten years after the bankruptcy of Stacor, the large building complex on Athens Avenue went up for auction on July 24 with a first bid price of 19.47 million euros, which was canceled due to lack of bidders. The replay is scheduled for September 12, with the price reduced by 25%, to 14.6 million euros.

The new auction for the Cardico factory in Schimatari is scheduled for September 20. The auction concerns the industrial complex together with electromechanical equipment and all other movable things.

It is a plot of land with an area of ​​58,315 sq.m. which is located in the Municipal Community of Schimatari of the Municipality of Tanagra in Viotia and specifically in the location “Rachili”, where a nut processing and peeling industry operated.

The industrial facilities have a total area of ​​26,879 sq.m. of which the main and auxiliary industrial areas cover 20,804 sq.m., the main storage areas 2,313 sq.m. and the supporting facilities 3,720 sq.m. The auction is expected to take place tomorrow, July 26

The company’s problems began in 2005 when it had a turnover of 230 million euros and pre-tax profits of 12 million euros. In the years that followed, Cardico’s figures plummeted and its turnover did not exceed 60 million euros in 2010.

SOS from the wineries

Greek wine and the well-known wineries have been on adventures in recent years, one of them being the Vassiliou Estate.

It is one of the most important winemaking companies, however, it has been involved in the adventure of auctions for the Nemeon Winery and Viticulture Estate and its pioneering winery in Nemea.

The Estate with a total area of ​​7,295 sq.m., in the location of Korfoxylia of the Municipal Community of Nemea, was auctioned again on June 26. It was auctioned again. The first bid price is set at 846,412 euros and is scheduled for September 27th.

The historic Tsantalis winery, with a history of 134 years, filed for bankruptcy at the end of July. At the expense of the company, an auction has already been scheduled for October 23 for a debt of 13,560 euros.

The procedure is directed against Evangelos Tsantalis S.A.-Viticulture & Winemaking & Distillery with an urgent private interest and concerns a commercial property in Naoussa.

It is a plot of land of 2,000 sq.m., which is a part of a larger one and is located at Kouticha in the Municipal Unit of Naoussa, on the provincial road Veria – Skydra.
