Aucamville. French-Italian wishes on video

The year 2020 should have marked the anniversary of the twinning between Aucamville and Fossalta di Portogruaro. A story of friendship, woven between these two municipalities since 1990, and translated by various official events, as well as by exchanges between associations and inhabitants.

On the side of the Municipality of Aucamville, with the always active and faithful support of the twinning committee chaired by Oliviane Gobbo, we were preparing for the organization of this thirtieth anniversary. Contacts had been made upstream with the administration of Fossalta in this perspective. Unfortunately 2020 was impacted by the health crisis, calling into question many projects including the anniversary of this twinning. However, contacts are more topical than ever between the two municipalities, initialed by an original initiative during this period of vows. The municipalities wished to mark these thirty years, in a joint manner, through the production of a video during which the mayors transmitted various messages and wishes for this new year.

Thus, Natale Sidran, mayor of Fossalta, from the center of the central square, addressed his counterpart and all Aucamvillois. “Despite this context, we are filled with hope and confidence in our future collaborations but also in future generations. Today, we are even more convinced that our European future will depend in particular on the links that have been forged, in time, between small towns such as Fossalta and Aucamville, “he stressed.

For his part, it is from his office, highlighting the last oath of friendship between the two municipalities that Gérard André sent his wishes to the Fossaltais. “We have the will to continue this twinning by means of exchanges with the college, our schools and the associations which must be the driving force of these new pages to be written … Even if it is difficult to project ourselves, let’s continue to grow together this link which unites us and to prepare our future projects “, Gérard André said.
