Auboué. Graffiti artist Boris Bobz draws for Lacoste

Whatever the assignment of the day, the artist always has a smile. He himself confides: he is fulfilled! Since opening his business five years ago, graffiti has remained his main activity, with ever crazier projects. But the walls are not his only medium of expression.

The idea of drawing on backpacks or shoes was born on the school benches. It resurfaced in 2018. “In winter, due to the weather, orders were fewer. I had to find something to continue working. That’s where I picked up a pair of shoes, ”recalls Boris Bobz. The feedback came quickly. “Since then, it’s a product that I do at least once a week, and more for Christmas and Valentine’s Day. “

His customized sneakers were talked about, the artist was spotted by Lacoste. “It is a great honor that my name is associated with such a great brand. “

Conquering the crocodile

In recent days, Boris Bobz has recovered five pairs of shoes, selected by Lacoste directly. The artist must customize them and prepare an artistic exhibition. “My sneakers will be presented on October 30 at the Thionville boutique. The same day, I will make a pair on site, in front of the customers, ”explains the graffiti artist. “Create live, I’ve done it a lot of times, it will be fine. I don’t have too much pressure. In fact, I am mostly hypercontent and very motivated. I really want it to go far. If this could lead to small series in limited edition, frankly it would be great! Personalization is very popular, I hope to convince… ”

First pair finished, Boris Bobz carefully puts away his Posca markers and cleans the airbrush. The second pair will be unicorn themed, with brilliant inspiration, as always!
