The new Champagne wave has taken out the mainsail. The Domaine de Bichery, in Neuville-sur-Seine, delivered its cuvées to New York aboard the Grain de Sail, a monohull sailing freighter, which was making its first transatlantic in the fall of 2020. Of course, we are not talking here only about 400 bottles for this first trip. A drop of water in an ocean of bubbles: the United States is the appellation’s leading market in terms of value.
