The extreme weather conditions in New York resulted in the cancellation of the landing of an AUA plane that was supposed to land at JFK Airport. The machine had to turn around.
As AUA spokeswoman Dagmar Wessendorf told APA, JFK Airport informed them at 11:38 a.m. that all parking positions were full. Newark also ran out of free capacities and Washington also had rejections. Therefore, the Austrian plane, which took off on Saturday at 9:58 a.m., landed again in Vienna-Schwechat at 3:46 p.m.
