New York City Ombudsman Jumaane Williams and Mayor Bill de Blasio have said they are considering running. Two other potential Democratic candidates are from Long Island: Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and US Rep. Thomas Suozzi, who lives in Nassau County.
