Rosengart says that “every day that goes by” is a day that deals more damage to Spears. He refers, among other things, to Britney’s care manager Jodi Montgomery and her medical team who recently stated that it is in the interests of the singer that Jamie is removed from his role as soon as possible because it is not good for her well-being. Rosengart also fears that Jamie is currently diverting money from Britney, while it still can.

The lawyer wants Jamie to be immediately suspended as a supervisor if the date of the hearing cannot be moved.

Spears first spoke out at the end of June about the thirteen-year receivership, which started when she was admitted to a psychiatric institution in 2008. Last month, she asked the judge for permission to choose her own lawyer instead of the court-assigned counsel who has assisted her in recent years. She also repeated the request to be allowed to fire her father Jamie as her supervisor.
