Former Bellator Slovak champion Attila Végh knocked out the first Czech in the UFC, Karlos Vémola, in 127 seconds at the Oktagon 15 tournament in the sold-out O2 Arena in Prague on November 9, 2019. The duel was preceded by a massive campaign, the memorable gala evening changed the status of mixed martial arts in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Even after four years, “Terminator” could not absorb the defeat. Already during the post-match press conference, he called for revenge. Végh repeated that a possible fight is only a question of money. And it was finally solved.
The revenge of the 38-year-old veterans will take place on June 8, 2024 at Eden – the football stadium of Slavia Prague. 24-26 thousand tickets will go on sale. According to information from ŠPORT.sk, the organization originally preferred the football stadium Slovan Bratislava Tehelné pole. She should have reconsidered the decision after an unsuccessful attempt to sell out the Octagon 47 tournament at the Ondrej Nepela Winter Stadium in Bratislava.

Végh has a professional record of 33-9 and 2 draws. Since the victory over Vémol in 2019, he has not fought under the rules of MMA. He completed only boxing exhibitions against Patrik Kincl, Emanuel Newton and Eric Spicely. He won them all.
Since losing the Match of the Century, Vémola has fought ten times, winning nine times. He became the champion of the Octagon in middle and light heavyweight, defeating Milan Ďatelinka, Pavel Langer, Aleksandar Ilič and Alex Lohoré. He lost only to Patrik Kincl. Already on December 29, he has a scheduled match against Végh’s protégé Samuel “Pirate” Krištofič.
Oktagon also announced another season of the Tipsport Gamechanger pyramid, the winner will receive 300,000 euros. In 2024, it will take place at lightweight. Slovak Ronald Paradeiser, Czech Vladimír Lengál or Pole Matesuz Legierski will also be participants.
The organization also confirmed the introduction of open scoring. Spectators and fighters will learn after each round how the point judges evaluated it.
