Attila Végh was originally scheduled to play against Emanuel Newton in the main match of Monday’s boxing tournament Fight Night Challenge in Brno. However, the American had a positive coronavirus test result before departure and was replaced in the ring by a Czech MMA fighter. Patrik Kincl.
Attila Végh’s first attack came almost a minute later. Both opponents ended up in ropes after him and the referee quickly tore them apart. Attila Végh was very careful, and Patrik Kincl’s subsequent charge was covered with a wide wave by his right hand. In the opening round, we also saw the unpleasant blow of Attila Végh, which hit Patrik Kincl in the head. However, events in the ring were relatively balanced.
Patrik Kincl started the second round more actively, but the winner of the Wrestling of the Century in the Oktagon MMA organization managed the situation with an overview and stopped its combination. The rest of the 2nd round was carried in a very careful spirit, not a single boxer rushed into the attack.
The first half of the 3rd round again brought only a kind of tapping of both opponents in the middle of the ring without a significant attack. In the middle, Patrik Kincl pushed the opponent to the ropes inconspicuously and tried a combination that Attila Végh escaped until the last minute. After another knock, Attila Végh went forward, but Patrik Kincl successfully defended himself. Shortly before the end, Attila Végh was on the ground, but not because of the blow, so it did not count.
Patrik Kincl started the last round more actively. He tried to pull the match to his side, but once again he was convinced that it would not be so easy against Attila Végh. Around the middle of the 4th round came probably the most serious attack of the whole match – Attila Végh started with his right hand and hit Patrik Kincl, who had something to do to escape further shots. Shortly before the end of the round, Patrik Kincl tried to strike from below, but Attila Végh covered his attempt.
The winner of the match was decided by the point judges, who saw it clearly Attila Végha’s victory 3: 0 on points.
Boráros defeated Rytmus to points
The main pre-match of the evening was taken care of by a popular rapper Patrik “Rytmus” Vrbovský and a popular MMA wrestler Gábor Boráros. From the fans’ point of view, it was a very controversial match, as both actors did not hide their fact that they were friends for many years. Although they assured the fans that they were not doing anything in the ring, many were cautious in this regard.
The introduction was more cautious. Although Gábor Boráros hit first, Rytmus was able to successfully cover up his attacks. At the end of the opening round, however, Gábor Boráros also felt the strength of the opponent, when Rytmus attacked a bit surprisingly and unexpectedly.
Gábor Boráros started the second round. Shortly after the start, he pulled out an awkward blow, from which Rytmus had to flee. Gábor Boráros had better cards in his hands, Rytmus mainly defended himself most of the time. His strikes did not pose a significant threat to Gábor Boráros. In addition, at the end of the second round, he delivered a good blow to Rytmus, which must have hurt him.
The third round started with a kind of shootout in the middle of the ring. Gábor Boráros was more accurate and tougher again, and after a while he struck Rytmus in the head. At this point, the referee even counted, but Rytmus was still able to collect. Over time, Gábor Boráros was clearly better, the rapper caught a lot of punches. The rhythm collected wounds to the lower body and head.
Even in the 4th round, the development of the duel did not change, Gábor Boráros attacked and Rytmus defended himself. He sometimes managed a good shot, but it was not enough for an experienced wrestler like his opponent. Gábor Boráros was in no hurry, he patiently waited for the right moments for the attacks. Shortly before the end of the 4th round, a quick combination of the lower part of Rytmus’s body followed, which at that moment he was already exhaling out loud.
In the “proper time” the fight did not recognize the winner, the rapper settled it until the final gong, but the verdict of the referees sounded clear – 3: 0 won points more active, faster and more accurate Gábor Boráros.
Pirate tactical draw with Cverminator
The current Oktagon MMA middleweight champion has also entered the ring Samuel “Pirate” Krištofičwho met with Alexander “Cverminator” Cvern. The “pirate” started a boxing match in the way of his own MMA wrestler when he tried to pull his opponent to the ground. For a few seconds, he tried to takedown again. Alexander Cverna also showed his strength at the end of the 1st round, when he gave Samuel Krištofič a good cannonball, from which, however, he still shook.
The second round began similarly to the end of the first, when the front Alexander Cverna immediately fired. Around the middle of Round 2, the “Pirate” felt another hard blow to his face, which obviously shook him. Alexander Cverna was very dangerous from a short distance, but the “Pirate” could not keep him away. Samuel Krištofič was more dynamic, but Alexander Cverna was proud of his toughness. But the temporary MMA champion managed to stop it.
The 3rd round continued at a decent pace. However, not a single boxer was able to deliver a decisive blow to the opponent, even though Alexander Cverna was not far from it. At first he pushed Samuel Krištofič into the corner, he bowed his head in it and then got a grenade into it, but even this blow did not put him down.
Covered by blows, Samuel Krištofič found himself shortly after the start of the 4th round. At times, it looked like the match slipped into a real exhibition. At one point, Alexander Cverna lowered his hands to his belt and let the “Pirate” box loosely into his belly as if in a punching bag. After a short treatment, however, Alexander Cverna ran at full speed. Samuel Krištofič backed up in front of him, but the “Cverminator” still hit him with blows. Both players of the match literally flew around the ring, they also found themselves on the ground.
In the end, however, we did not recognize the winner – the judges decided that the fight ended in a draw.
