Following the recent announcement, regarding the handover by the Greek State of the Attica Highway to the new concessionaire (New Attiki Odos M.A.E.), the Sunday, October 6, 2024following is an update on the procedures for the transition of the motorway to the new concession regime and better service to users.
From midnight on Saturday, October 5 to Sunday, October 6, 2024, the “New Attiki Road Concession M.A.E.” undertakes the exploitation and operation of the Attica Road based on the Concession Agreement from 12.09.2024 and following this, the existing toll price list and subscription/discount programs are valid, as they are, until Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 23:59: 59.
As the company states in its update, from midnight on Saturday 5 October to Sunday 6 October 2024, tolls per vehicle category, exemptions and possible discounts are now regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Concession Agreement from 12.09.2024.
Specifically, from Sunday, October 6, 2024, toll prices are set as follows:
- 1.25 euros for mopeds
- 2.50 euros for cars (categories 2, 3 and 4)
- 6.25 euros for small and medium trucks (category 5)
- 10.00 euros for large trucks (category 6)
In the same context and in order not to affect the smooth traffic of vehicles and with a view to serving and adequately informing subscribers, from 06.10.2024 the new concession company “New Attiki Road Concession M.A.E.” automatically enters into all contracts with subscribers, in place of the Companies “Attiki Odos S.A.” and “Attic Routes SA”, assuming all the relevant rights and obligations from these contracts.
Therefore, e-PASS devices (transceivers) and transit cards continue to be used normally even after 05.10.2024, with the transfer of the amounts corresponding to the money balances of the prepaid subscription accounts.
Especially for October 2024, the following are maintained subscription programs:
- Bonus program: the forecast for the 15 free passes in October is maintained.
- Friendly and Business programs: prices for the first 30 crossings are reduced to Basic Toll levels (see new prices above), with the existing prices for the next 20 crossings (31st to 50th) and prices for more than 50 crossings (51st and above) to be maintained as they are today, only for the month of October.
In addition, the e-PASS devices they are still used in the context of interoperability also on the other motorways, while correspondingly the transceivers of other motorways continue to be used normally also on the Attiki Odos.
For technical reasons, e-PASS subscription users who wish to, are requested to renew their subscription account balances by Friday, October 4, 2024, in order to avoid the system being burdened the next day, during the above transition.
Regarding road safety services, the 4-digit Emergency Number 1024 remains in force, where drivers can call and a patrol will be immediately nearby (24 hours/7 days), as well as free roadside assistance services for safe driving moving a stationary vehicle off the highway. Regarding customer service, the telephone number 210 6682222 remains in effect.
