When did the construction of the Thessaloniki Metro acquire a mythological, anecdotal and symbolic character, influencing the collective psyche of the city? How do we perceive public space and its constant reshaping? In what way is the condition of waiting established in a city and where does he go who chooses to move forward?

After the enthusiastic reception of the public and the continuous sold outs in Thessaloniki, the performance “Attention: Projects in Progress” comes for 1 night at DIPETHE IOANNINON, bringing back to the fore the eternally unresolved issue of Thessaloniki: the Metro, a multidimensional issue with policies, economic, cultural and social ramifications, hidden for many years under the carpet. In the show, real-life Metro stations, stakeholder interviews, questionnaires and field research intertwine with fictional stories and personal reflections, turning waiting for the Metro into an alternative social reflection.

A group of young actors, who do not remember what their city was like without construction sites, explores the stagnation-movement dichotomy on stage in an attempt to answer the question: What kind of mobility do the young people of the city dream of, not only on the streets but also in life their; Struggling to resist a legal waiver, the team creates a project for the project. A project that is also desperately seeking its completion.
