attention, vaccination and PCR test of r

In order to fight against the spread of the health epidemic, the United States will apply new conditions of access to their territory from November 8, 2021. The high commission is communicating on these new constraints.

From and to French Polynesia, the flights of airlines making connections with hexagonal France will once again pass through the USA from November. Thus, it will be up to each traveler to comply with American regulations when entering, stopping over and transiting on American soil.
Unvaccinated adults will not be able to enter, stop over or transit through the United States.

Some exceptions exist and are listed on the “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” site. However, in this case, unvaccinated travelers must also have a receipt from the High Commission validating the compelling reason, a negative result of an RT-PCR or antigen test of less than 24 hours.
Unvaccinated minors 12 years of age and over, traveling alone or accompanying an unvaccinated person but falling under the exceptions provided for by US regulations, must have:

o a negative result of an RT-PCR or antigen test of less than 24 hours;
o a receipt from the High Commission validating the compelling reason.
Minors accompanying a vaccinated person must present a negative result of an RT-PCR or antigen test of less than 72 hours.

Vaccinated people must present:

o a negative result of an RT-PCR or antigen test of less than 72 hours;
o proof of complete vaccination schedule for the USA: 2 weeks after the last injection for 2-dose vaccines / 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine;
Please note, the vaccination schedule considered to be complete for the French national territory (1 week after the last dose) is not sufficient for the United States.
In addition, to enter French national territory with a single-dose vaccine, the vaccination schedule is considered complete 28 days after the injection.
o a sworn statement attesting to the absence of symptoms and not having been in contact.
ALL travelers over the age of 2 at destination, stopover or transit in the USA must also present a certificate download from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website: https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/fr-proof-negative-test.html

Each traveler is required to comply with the other administrative formalities of the country of transit and the country of destination (eg ESTA).
All the conditions for entering and leaving French Polynesia with entry, stopover or transit in the United States are presented in the visuals attached. Note that these travel conditions are subject to regular changes and will be updated on the website of the High Commission.
The authorities recall that if a test area in the departure hall of Tahiti-Faa’a airport is accessible to travelers, it is strongly recommended that passengers carry out their RT-PCR or antigen test at the Institute in advance. Louis Malardé or in another authorized establishment (eg the Nahoata laboratories in Pirae or Tamanu in Punaauia). Antigenic tests can also be performed in pharmacies under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Travelers are encouraged to make all arrangements to perform their test before arriving at the airport so as not to saturate the screening site or delay delivery of results. Priority access to the airport test center must therefore be given to passengers coming from the islands and in transit.
