The most effective pesticide against PP and company is elections
Poodles carrying wads of euros, a watch-gift from accused persons for BGN 50,000 on the wrist of the highest-ranking police officer in the state, a smuggling channel for hundreds of millions, operating under the auspices and in collaboration with the heads of customs and the professional leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, smugglers , staffing the Ministry of Internal Affairs under the umbrella of senior party members – PP leaders…
Only a few days have passed since the outbreak of the most thunderous affair in the history of our country for the last decade, but the dirty mafia secrets are coming to light like a geyser one after another. Revealing the infamously ugly picture of a state control and investigative apparatus controlled for the benefit of a few brats with deep pockets, who instead of fighting the mafia collaborated with it. With the help of the already arrested former head of the “Customs” Agency, Petya Bankova, and the former chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev. And by all accounts, it seems – with the blessing of ex-finance minister Asen Vassilev.
When the affair with the “Customs” Agency shook the country less than 2 weeks ago, the leaders not only of the PP, but also of the DB in the person of Hristo Ivanov and Atanas Atanasov stood on the embrasure in one voice, defending Bankova and Kotsev and explaining that the action is a “political club”. An absurd reaction in itself considering the fact that the signal about the smuggling channel operating through the checkpoint in Haskovo came from a partner service. And also the evidence of their guilt, garnished with Kotsev’s confessions, raining hourly in the form of photos from his phone. Photos that lovingly captured how Kiril Petkov, Boyko Rashkov and Zhivko Kotsev, snuggled together with smugglers accused in the affair, such as father and son Dimitrovi – Marin and Stefan – pointed to people of the currently wanted boss Nikola Nikolov-Paskal.
At the present moment, this reaction of PP and DB already has an explanation. And it is hidden in the data that came out at the first real meeting of the specially formed temporary commission of inquiry in the National Assembly to investigate the affair with the “Customs” Agency. At the hearing in the committee, which took place on Thursday afternoon, Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov revealed deep ties between PP leaders and smugglers.
What did Stoyanov say??
During his two-hour hearing, the MIA chief revealed facts that shed light on the connections of the smugglers with Asen Vasilev and Boyko Rashkov. “When I became a minister and changes began in the leadership, Asen Vassilev asked me what will happen in Haskovo, will there be changes?” He told me: There is a person you can count on. We are talking about Nedan Hadjiev (former head of ODMVR-Haskovo, appointed to the post by Boyko Rashkov)… After that (note after the local elections) there was another conversation between me and Asen Vassilev. He asks me why I don’t appoint Nedan Hadjiev. There were comments that he asked me for one thing and I didn’t do it,” explained Stoyanov, pointing out that this is precisely why he was already questioned at the prosecutor’s office regarding the arrests of Bankova and father and son Dimitrovi. Before him, the former head of the ODMVR-Haskovo gave evidence until 3 years ago – Angel Ganchev, who indicated that the Dimitrovs were recruited by the local police. And according to the rumors in the region – and in the appointment of the chiefs in the customs and above all – at the nearby Kapitan Andreevo border crossing.
From the words of Kalin Stoyanov, the people’s representatives also received an explanation for the photos released in the public space, which captured Boyko Rashkov in his home with Zhivko Kotsev and the accused for smuggling, Stefan Dimitrov, presenting the former interior minister with a painting. When the photo was released, Rashkov said that Dimitrov took a picture with him because he is famous. Well, Stoyanov’s story revealed the real reason – that both Stefan and his father Marin Dimitrov were frequent guests of Rashkov not only at his home, but also at the ministry. It was there that Kalin Stoyanov met them. “I know Stefan and Marin Dimitrovi from Boyko Rashkov. Stefan came much more often. If I was so close to them, I would have been in one of the photos that leaked into the public space,” he pointed out, and before the meeting – in front of journalists, the MIA chief also revealed that there was information about meetings held at Rashkov’s home, on which a plan was discussed for him to be discredited and not remain in office. At the same gatherings, it was also discussed who should be the minister, his deputies and the chief secretary.
Given the fact that the commission will continue with hearings in the coming weeks, we can only guess what other dirty secrets about the relationships between politicians and mobsters will come to light. But also from what has been revealed so far, it is clear that during the time when PP-DB held the helm of power, Kiril Petkov, Asen Vassilev and company
opened wide the door of the state to the mafia, cuddling with it and its poodles.
A fact that explains the desperate attempts of both the PP and their coalition partners from the DB to downgrade the scandalous affair to a “political attack”. A reaction that is suspiciously reminiscent of the principle of silence and mutual protection of the members of the Italian Camorra. And which reveals clearly shows that Petkov, Vasilev and co are pests who must be thrown out of the political life of the country as soon as possible.
In this whole dirty mafia-political affair, there is one ray of light – that elections are coming. And they are the most effective pesticide against such pests, because the fate of this harmful company depends on all of us – the voters of the country.
