Field commander WSBK Mandalika 2022 Jamaluddin Maladi said the total number of spectators over the three days of competition exceeded 45,000.
Jamaluddin explained the number of spectators WSBK 11-13 November 2022 surpassed the total number of fans that packed the Silverstone circuit to host British WSBK from 15-17 July.
According to Jamal, the total number of spectators reached 45,517 people made up of various parties who were present at the international racing venue.
“This figure broke the record for WSBK British Circuit crowds which reached 42,000. We reached more than 45,000 in three days,” said Jamal, Sunday afternoon at the Mandalika Circuit.
Jamal detailed, the number of tickets sold was 38,000 both online and offline. While the audience was invited by Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) for religious leaders and community leaders up to 2,500 people.
“We also have a local ITDC committee of 302 people, a local NTB committee that reaches 715 people, volunteer 1,700 people, 800 MPMI people, 250 media partners, 750 Dorna people. All of this is looking at the Mandalika Circuit,” she said.
According to Jamal, the total viewership of 45,517 was the result of the cooperation and collaboration of all parties. Both the NTB Provincial Government and ITDC are members of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA).
“We appreciate the crowd from all walks of life who come to the Mandalika. We hope to see them double in MotoGP next year,” said Jamal.
Meanwhile, over 51,600 spectators attended the Mandalika WSBK 2022, according to the official release of the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).
