This morning the National Police recorded an attempted assault on a minimarket in the Herrera neighborhood of Asunción, carried out by armed individuals who arrived at the site in a mini van reported stolen.
The subjects intimated the employees and customers who were unfortunately there. They intended to take, as observed, beef, precisely ribs and other cuts for roasting, as well as high-value alcoholic beverages such as whiskeys and the like.
They also summoned the cashier to hand over the money from the till, an amount that totaled about G. 500,000.
A patrol vehicle that was circulating in the area intervened at the time and a shootout occurred against the criminals. One of them was able to be detained and the rest had to flee on foot since the uniformed officers managed to immobilize the vehicle.
