The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had repelled an attempt by Kiev forces to carry out attacks using drones, at dawn on Tuesday, on the capital, Moscow, and the Bryansk region.
The ministry said in a statement: “Two drones were detected by air defense systems and suppressed by electronic warfare systems, which caused them to crash over the territory of the Bryansk region. Two other drones were also discovered and destroyed by air defense over the territory of the Moscow region.”
For his part, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that air defenses shot down two attack drones near Krasnogorsk and Chastsov in the Moscow region.
Sobyanin wrote on his channel in “Telegram”: “The Air Defense Forces shot down two drones. One is in the Krasnogorsk region and the other is in the Chatsov region, and emergency services are operating at the scene.”
