Attempted burglary in a luxury store

A vehicle entered the Høyer luxury store in Skøyen. Police reported the incident at 06:38 on Sunday morning.

– There could be talk of a possible break-in or attempted break-in, was the first message from the police on Twitter.

Shortly after 07:00, operations director Alexander Østerhaug said police were working on an operational search for the car and an unspecified number of perpetrators.

– There is a large damaged and broken glass door. The main hypothesis is that it is a break-in, or an attempted break-in, depending on what they may have brought with them, Østerhaug adds.

As of around 08:00, no one has yet been arrested following the incident.

Meanwhile, a car has been found.

– The car was found some distance away, with no people connected to the vehicle being traceable, operations director Tore Solberg told Dagbladet.

– What indicates that this is the car?

– We have a good description of the car. The car fits this description very well. Traces of broken glass were also found. The car has fake license plates attached, Solberg says.

– Most likely, nothing seems to have been stolen, but it’s still a bit early to tell, she points out.

Police are continuing with their crime scene investigation and obtaining video footage.
